About

Hey! I’m KT, otherwise known as this blog’s titular manic dream pixie. I am a 20-something queer and neurodivergent individual with simply too much to think and talk about. As such, I thought to myself “why not start a blog?” and so that’s why we’re here. As for where manic dream pixie comes from, it’s both a reference to the “manic pixie dream girl” trope and an homage to Peach PRC (a favourite artist of mine).

More about me? I, like many others, consider myself a lifelong learner. I studied at Simon Fraser University and earned a BA in English before then pursuing a BEd at the University of Victoria where I successfully completed my teacher training. Now, I work as an educator, however, I plan on moving farther through the world of academia to pursue a Masters and perhaps later a PhD. What else describes me? I’m proudly bisexual, bipolar, and autistic. I have a love for alternative style and culture, and there’s almost never a day you’ll see me not in all black.

Here on my blog, you will find posts about a range of topics capturing my interests. The main things you’ll see posted here are mental health/neurodivergence/psychological topics, style and expression, books and other media, general musings, creative writing, and maybe more. Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog, I hope you’ll find something of interest.
